Haley Barbour, a powerful Washington lobbyist and former chairman of the Republican National Committee, won in Mississippi, getting 404,466 votes (53 percent) to 341,966 (45 percent) for incumbent Gov. Ronnie Musgrove (D) with 84 percent of precincts reporting.

In aevery way you could possibly measure the performance of a president as it relates to trying to improve the welfare of the citizens of our nation - this president has to go down as the most dismal, wrong spirited, terrible president in history. In every instance when faced with the choice of supporting big corporation's wishes vs what is best for the people and / or enviroment he has sideed with the corporations interests. He should be shackled and thrown in jail for the damage he and his minions continue to do to everything that has made this country great. He continues to dimish the stature of America in the eyes of the rest of the world, willfully...his well known ignorance is certainly no excuse..
